Prepper Pro only collects what it needs to work. Anything else is off unless you turn it on.

There is no advertising in Prepper Pro and no tracking. We don’t use the advertising identifier, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers. That’s why Prepper Pro never asks for permission to track you: it doesn’t.

Anonymous usage statistics: only if you turn them on

From version 3.04, Prepper Pro asks when you set it up whether to share anonymous usage statistics. You choose between Share anonymous statistics and Don’t share, and neither is selected for you. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage statistics.

If you share, we see which screens and features are used, the app version and language, the device type and operating system version, and the country. That lets us see which features are used, so we can improve them. The statistics are not linked to you or your account: we never send your user ID, email address, household names, item names or anything you type.

If you don’t share, no usage statistics are sent. Earlier versions of Prepper Pro don’t collect usage statistics at all.

Crash and freeze reports

When Prepper Pro crashes, freezes or doesn’t finish starting, it sends a technical report so we can find and fix the bug. The report says what the app was doing when the problem happened, the app version, the device type and the operating system version. It never includes your account, email address or anything you’ve stored or typed, and it isn’t linked to you.

Your data and your account

What’s kept in the cloud

Your inventory, households, household members (how many adults, children and pets), scenario answers and settings are kept in your account in secure cloud storage. This also applies if you use Prepper Pro as a guest: you get an anonymous account without an email address. Cloud storage keeps your data safe if you lose your phone, syncs it between your devices and lets you share a household. Changes are saved on your phone first, so the app also works without a connection.

Your data is encrypted when it’s sent and when it’s stored. We don’t look at your data, and we never use it for advertising or sell it.

Delete your account and your data

In the app: open Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account and the data on your phone. It can’t be undone.

To also remove your data from cloud storage: if you signed in with an email address, Apple or Google, email [email protected] from that address and ask us to delete your Prepper Pro data. We delete it within 30 days and confirm when it’s done.

If you use Prepper Pro as a guest: a guest account has no email address or name, so we usually can’t tell which data in cloud storage is yours from an email. We’re adding cloud deletion to Settings → Delete account, so the app can remove it for you. Until then, email us anyway and we’ll do our best to find and delete it.

Get a copy of your data

Email [email protected] and we’ll send you a copy of the data stored in your account, in a format you can open in other apps, within 30 days. This is free.

Stop sharing a household

The owner of a household can remove anyone from it, and anyone can leave a household that was shared with them. You’re asked to confirm before someone is removed or before you leave.

Security

Prepper Pro uses Apple’s App Attest to check that requests to our servers come from the real app, which protects your account against abuse. This check doesn’t identify you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to how it’s used. Email [email protected] with “Prepper Pro” and your request in the subject line. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Norway that’s Datatilsynet.

Our Privacy Policy has the full details, including which service providers process data for us.
