EKG Simulator - Professional Medical Simulator
Turn your iPad into a realistic, interactive patient monitor
Made for film/TV production, medical education and simulation training. Version 2.0 rebuilds all 64 scenarios with more accurate heart rhythms, adds new monitor sounds, seven screen themes and tools made for filming.

Key Features
- More accurate heart rhythms - All 64 scenarios rebuilt, including VT, torsades, atrial flutter, WPW, STEMI, heart blocks and electrolyte disorders
- 64 adult and paediatric scenarios - From normal rhythms to cardiac arrest, medication effects, electrolyte disorders and age-specific paediatric cases
- Full monitor screen - ECG leads II, I and V, pleth and respiration waveforms, with heart rate, SpO2, respiration, temperature and blood pressure (NIBP with a reading history)
- Tap or drag to adjust - Tap a number to open its setup window (value, reset to scenario, alarm limits), or drag it up or down to change it, even mid-take
- New monitor sounds - A beat tone with every heartbeat that falls in pitch as SpO2 drops, and alarms that use standard monitor patterns. The classic film flatline tone is still there if you want it
- Monitor keys - START NIBP, SILENCE, FREEZE and MAIN SETUP, plus a power button that switches the monitor off and on
- Seven screen themes - Original, Simple, Ward, ICU, Transport, Phosphor and Vintage, plus a night mode that dims the screen for dark sets
- Signal artifacts - Optional 50/60 Hz power-line interference, baseline wander, muscle tremor and poor electrode contact
- How to use guide - Shown on first launch and available any time from Main Setup

Why Choose EKG Simulator?
For Film & TV Production:
- Stage mode hides the keys and leaves only the monitor on screen; press and hold, or double-tap with two fingers, to bring them back
- A countdown before a scenario starts lets you cue changes
- Values can change gradually between scenarios (10–60 seconds), with optional natural variation
- Set a custom date and time on the monitor for scene continuity
- SILENCE mutes all sound for 2 minutes, and the power button switches the monitor off on cue
- Themes follow common bedside-monitor conventions without copying any manufacturer’s brand or layout
For Medical Education:
- Practise rhythm recognition on realistic, moving waveforms
- Demonstrate medication effects and dangerous interactions
- Age-specific paediatric scenarios
- Cardiac arrest, defibrillation and return of circulation scenarios
For Healthcare Simulation:
- Change any vital sign live while the scenario runs
- Alarms with adjustable limits that flash the alarming number and show a message to acknowledge
- Scenarios that develop over time, with natural variation in the vital signs
Easy to Control

Tap any number to open its setup window: change the value, reset it to the scenario, or set its alarm limits.

Alarming numbers flash in the alarm colour, with the alarm limits shown beside each number.
Featured Scenarios
Defibrillation Sequence
V-Fib → Shock → Outcome. Choose before you start whether the shock succeeds or fails. After a successful shock the pulse returns, and breathing starts slow and shallow while SpO2, heart rate and blood pressure improve.
Drug Interactions
Dangerous combinations like the Beta-blocker + CCB Interaction show profound bradycardia (28-42 BPM) with complete heart block and low blood pressure.
Vintage Theme
A generic 1970s–80s bedside monitor for period film and TV: a green CRT trace that fades behind a bright dot, red LED numbers on a front panel, HIGH and LOW alarm lamps, a simple beep and a two-tone alarm buzzer.

Technical Excellence
- Real-time waveform generation - Every P wave and QRS complex is timed and drawn as it happens, swept across the screen like a real monitor
- Synthesized audio - Every sound is generated in the app, with no recorded audio files
- Adjustable sweep speed - Separate speed settings for ECG and respiration, and a Humanize slider for breath-to-breath variation
- Display modes - Normal, Simple and Extended set how many waveforms are shown
- Categorized scenario browser with search
